Angie McMaster Aylmer Ontario Death, Obituary – With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family and community of Aylmer mourn the passing of Angela Jean McMaster, fondly known as Angie, who peacefully left this world on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, surrounded by family and close friends. She was 60 years old.
Angie’s life was a remarkable journey marked by love, dedication, and an enduring commitment to those around her. Born on March 7, 1965, in London, Ontario, she spent most of her life in Aylmer, where she became a beloved figure in both family and community circles. From a young age, Angie embraced an active lifestyle, immersing herself in local activities that shaped her vibrant spirit—whether swimming at the Aylmer Pool, figure skating, or playing for Springfield Fastball. Her involvement in these community pursuits reflected a lifelong passion for connection and engagement.
Beyond athletics, Angie was a devoted member of her family. She was a cherished mother to her son, Skyler Cowen (and his son, Wyatt), a beloved daughter to Evelyn McMaster and the late James “Budd” McMaster (who passed in 2019), and a loving sister to Lori Henderson-Gibbons (Gary). Angie’s gentle presence will also be deeply missed by her nephews, Owen and Luke Henderson, her niece, Mya Henderson, dear friend Bruce Bulina, and close companions Holly Fisher and Lisa Sorochan. The family also remembers with sorrow her brother-in-law, Aaron Henderson, who predeceased her.
After graduating from East Elgin Secondary School, Angie’s academic journey led her to the University of Guelph, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. She furthered her education at Fanshawe College, obtaining a diploma in Radiography—a path that defined her professional life. Angie dedicated over 25 years to London Health Sciences Hospital, initially as an X-ray Technician before advancing to the position of CT Technician. Her commitment to healthcare and patient care was a cornerstone of her career, marked by professionalism, skill, and compassion.
In retirement, Angie embraced a new chapter filled with joy and social engagement. She took on a seasonal role as a server at Pinecroft, where she delighted in connecting with patrons and colleagues alike. Those who knew her remember her witty and sarcastic sense of humor, often delivered with a quiet smile that could brighten any room.
In accordance with Angie’s wishes, a private family service will be held to honor her memory. The family invites friends and loved ones to gather for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Henderson-Gibbons residence, located at 6932 Fairview Road, St. Thomas. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Hospice of Elgin or Helping Paws Rescue are welcomed, continuing Angie’s spirit of care and compassion.
